Sandalwood essential oil is extracted using an old method of steam to distil wood from matured Sandalwood trees. These trees can be up to 85 years old, but sometimes less matured trees are used, however the process takes longer and does not produce the same results.
As with most essential oil, the older the tree the more rich and aromatic essential oil extracted can be extracted. Sandalwood has some amazing properties which can used in a multitude of ways such as medicinal, aroma therapy and sanitisation.
