In 2026 we have had to change our eBay listings to include a postage charge. These changes are due to the consistent and arguably unnecessary price increases by both organisations.

eBay have increased their commission rate to approximately 15-20% of sale amount. We absorbed this for over a decade as eBay's large platform was excellent for our brands exposure. eBay used to promote 'Free Postage' listings with higher priority search results, however our analysts have discovered zero advantage of this since the introduction of eBay-Plus. We have also seen diminished protection for sellers, as eBay continue to amend their policies to compete with Amazon.
We are not complaining about these changes. Our loyal and new customers who purchase from these platforms are protected if they buy direct from www.vegantreeowl.com.au where postage is a flat $12.00 Australia wide.
